TESTIMONIALS

To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing this letter in support of Ivann Garc, who is an accomplished artist of extraordinary ability. Ivann is a renowned artist in the art field who has sustained international acclaim. Ivann’s talent is a rare find and I am proud that he has been able to come to Marietta, GA so I could see first-hand his magnificent ability.
In the eleven years I have been Director of the museum, I have met and seen many artists. Ivann is one of the best I have seen. 8 years ago, I started a Chalk Festival in Marietta called Chalktoberfest and was thrilled when I found Ivann to create incredible works of art for the 100,000 attendees who come.
This past year I chose Vann (as I like to call him) out of the 112 artists who attended to create a picture of our board chair, Ray Worden, who had recently died of cancer. I chose Vann because of his ability to capture not only the image of the person but portray his personality as well.
It was obvious during the festival that I had made the right choice. People were gathered around Vann to see him capture Ray. There were comments like, “He has captured his smile”, “Those are Ray’s eyes”, etc. Ray’s wife called me numerous times to thank me for choosing Vann to paint Ray’s portrait. There were even a few tears as on lookers were touched by the painting.
Vann’s realism is extraordinary and I am thankful to have gotten to know him personally as well as professionally.
My only wish is that he lived closer to Marietta, GA so I could commission him for other endeavors.
Sincerely,
Sally Macaulay
